The PSHE curriculum is designed to support children’s SMSC development
In Early Years the children’s PSHE development forms part of the Early Years Foundation stage as one of the Prime areas. Children are encouraged to follow routines and rules of the setting and are rewarded for this using the Carrot reward system. Daily book of the week sessions give the children to talk about the characters from each story and how they might feel in different situations.
Key Stage 1 and 2
Regular PSHE sessions are planned using the Jigsaw scheme. Each year group follows the same theme per term but activities are differentiated to match the age and development of the children.
Anti bullying week
An antibullying week is observed each year in November in line with the rest of the country. As a class, the children create a piece of work which represents their learning for this week and is displayed in the main hall.
