The Bramble Academy is out of Special Measures.
Ofsted inspected The Bramble Academy during December 2017 and is pleased to announce that the academy has been moved out of the Ofsted grade ‘Special Measures’. Inspectors recognised the improvements the academy had made since Mr Simon Sharp became Headteacher in September 2016.
We have had strong support from The Evolve Trust Leadership Team over the last 18 months and taking the Ofsted feedback we have a robust action plan in place to take the academy to the next level which would be an overall ‘Good’ Ofsted grade. We are especially happy that our Early Years Foundation Stage has been graded as ‘Good’- this is well deserved for our Early Years Team who work incredibly hard and plan a fantastic curriculum to ensure that their children are ready for Year 1.
The academy has already been graded as ‘Good’ for its Early Years provision and Requires Improvement for, Effectiveness of Leadership and Management, Quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment and Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare.
Mrs Claire- Marie Cuthbert our CEO at The Evolve Trust said “ Whilst we still have a long way to go I am proud to show off the progress the academy has made. I am pleased that Inspectors have recognised the improvements made in behaviour, pastoral support for children and the way that we have made improvements to teaching and learning. I am also delighted with the recognition that has been given to our Learning Assistants for the brilliant work they do with our children”.
The inspectors commented on how lovely and polite the children at The Bramble Academy are and made particular reference to one child who went right up to one of the inspectors and said “Hello sir, pleased to meet you;” and then promptly shook the inspectors hand!
