Introduction from our Headteacher, Charlotte Elliott
I arrived at the Academy as Headteacher in May 2018; staff and parents have warmly welcomed me, and I’m thoroughly enjoying my role as Headteacher.
At The Bramble Academy children, staff, members of the Board, parents/carers and members of the wider community are supported and challenged to be the best that they can be. This is nurtured through an environment which encourages collaboration, innovation, openness, reflection and a little risk taking now and again!
Whilst we work around the framework of the National Curriculum, we ensure that opportunities are board and balanced and all children are entitled to a wealth of experiences, including our innovative Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) curriculum, PE taught by our Specialist and our relentless focus on classical texts. We also actively engage with external visitors into school and visits to many places in the local area and beyond.
The children at Bramble are breath-taking and you cannot fail to smile everyday! Ofsted (December 2017) commented: “School leaders, governors and staff are committed to improvement and are united in a common sense of purpose. Good pastoral care helps those pupils who need support in their emotional and personal development”.
